A custom website developed for Reading Room Rotterdam (RRR), a nomadic library and event platform initiated by Marika in partnership with Pluto Press, Left Book Club, and others. The project supports RRR’s mission to foster communal knowledge-sharing across texts, gatherings, and interdisciplinary formats.
The development focuses on clarity and accessibility — ensuring that the event listings, reading archive, and nomadic activities are easily discoverable. Special attention was given to responsive layouts, readable typography, and structured navigation, making the site usable across devices and for a wide range of visitors. The site invites users into a calm, inclusive browsing experience. A prominent and filterable event archive allows past and upcoming gatherings to be explored with ease. Each event page accommodates extended text and embedded materials, supporting RRR’s blend of reading, discussion, and embodied learning.
Accessibility features were a core part of development — with high-contrast modes, screen reader-friendly markup, and flexible text sizing to ensure broad usability. The structure is modular and future-proof, allowing the organizer to expand the library and event listings over time without needing redesign.
